Why I created a Youtube channel

Hello everyone!

Welcome to my new blog post. Yes, guys, I did it. I created a youtube channel! And I am so excited to tell you guys about it.

I actually wanted to start a youtube channel for a while, but the thing is that I wanted to stay anonymous. So I didn’t know what content I could possibly create without showing my face and using my voice. I could still stay anonymous while using my voice though, but it’s so exhausting sometimes. I just don’t feel like redoing my sentences because they didn’t sound right. To be honest, I also don’t like hearing my own voice.

So, one day I got a dm from a girl on Instagram. Basically, she was saying that she liked how I was sharing my dividends on Instagram. She was also happy that I was European just like her. One day I thought about that conversation and all of a sudden I was like “wait I can share my dividend income on Youtube!”.

I have been watching dividend income videos myself on Youtube and I noticed that most of the people are already receiving a lot of dividends. Before I started investing I didn’t know what my dividend income would look like and I’m sure that someone else doesn’t know that as well. So I was like, let me be that person on Youtube, let me show my small amount of dividends. Also, a lot of the YouTubers are from the US, so I think the European people would appreciate my videos.

I already uploaded my very first video where I showed what my first year of dividend investing looked like. So let’s take a commercial break and watch my first video.

In my future videos, I will be sharing my monthly dividend income. I will also be giving a portfolio update on either a quarterly basis or twice a year. It really depends on whether there is a big update. My goal is to reach as many people as possible. I want everyone to see what dividend investing looks like even if you don’t have a lot of money to invest. I’m not someone who invests €1000 per month. In 2021 I invested €108 per month and if I had some extra money left at the end of the month I would invest that as well. I want people to see that you don’t need a lot of money to invest. I want to show the effects of investing small amounts of money. I want to be living proof and that’s why I am documenting my investing journey.

I also created my channel because I wanted another source of income. I really want my channel to get monetized so that I can make money from it. I need an extra source of income because I want to do big financial things like investing more money, saving for a house and I want to own a car one day. I can’t just depend on my salary even though I have a permanent contract. If I can make an extra 10K a year I could get a €168K mortgage instead of a €118K mortgage. That’s a huge difference.

This is what I will do with my youtube income once I start making money: after deducting taxes I will put 25% towards my investments and 75% towards my savings for a house.

So I really hope that a lot of people will find my channel and watch my videos. I hope that it will be helpful to people who are thinking about investing. And I really hope that my channel will blow up and I can add an extra income.

Of course, I will be sharing my journey on Youtube with you guys. When I hit a certain milestone I will give you an update and tell you about my strategy.

Before I end this post I want to ask you to subscribe to my channel “The Dividend Girl”. Spread the word. Tell a friend to tell a friend. I want to reach 1000 subscribers as soon as possible. Check out my first video if you didn’t do it during the commercial break.

That’s all for today. Thank you for your precious time and until next time!

Love,

Color and Coins
