Hello everyone!
Welcome to my 9-month review. I don’t know why, but I have been so excited to do this review. I think because we are so close to the end of the year and I am now able to tell whether or not I will reach my goals.
I am going to start by reminding you of the new goals I set during my mid-year review:
- Save €6.000 in my emergency fund
- Have a €20.000 net worth
- Have €2.000 invested in the stock market
- Reach €12 in dividend earnings
Let’s see how I am doing so far.
Emergency fund
As you can see in the table below, I already saved 82,2%. I am sure that I will hit my €6.000 goal at the end of this year. Like I mentioned before, this is not a goal that I am really excited about, but I need it, so I must continue. The remaining amount will be divided by 3. So for the rest of the year, I will be putting approximately €360 towards my emergency fund.
Net worth
In my mid-year review, I mentioned that I wanted to have a €20.000 net worth, but that it was kind of a stretch. In August or September, I finally found out how much money I have in my retirement investment. I added this number to my networth and it helped a lot, but I am still not 100% sure that I will reach this goal. I think that I actually will, but we will see.
In the graph below you can see that my net worth is €18.175,81. I am so proud of this number! I never thought that one day I would have so much money. I have to say that we are pretty close. I am doing good.
Investment
My third goal was to have €2.000 invested in the stock market. Guess what? I did it! I reached this goal already! I invested about €2.200. For the rest of the year, I will only be investing €108 per month and my dividends will of course be reinvested. I used to put the extra money that was left at the end of the month towards my investment, but since I reached my goal this extra money will be going to my savings.
Dividend earnings
Last but not least, I want to have received a total dividend payment of €12 this year. So far I have received €10,02, which means I am almost there. In the graph below you can see that I already received 83,50% of my goal. I will definitely reach this goal. It will probably happen in October because that will be my biggest dividend month.
As you can see I am pretty positive about reaching my goals. I am really excited to finish this year strong.
To summarize, this are my goals that I still need to reach this year:
- A €6.000 emergency fund
- A €20.000 net worth
- A €12 dividend earning
In the first week of January I will do a 2021 review and the big question will be “Do I have a €20.000 net worth?”. I am already excited.
This is all I have for today. Thank you for your precious time and until next time!

Nice job, keep it up!
